An alternative Provision in Bradford are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join their Positive Behaviour Support Team.

This is a temporary post, from October 2018 until July 2019. Following a successful probationary period, you will have an opportunity to apply for a permanent role.

The school is located in the Girlington area of Bradford and caters for 50 pupils aged 11-16 with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be responsible for a group of up to 10 pupils, acting as a key worker to develop and implement behavioural interventions and Positive Behaviour Support strategies in Education, Health and Social Care. You will also work independently within the field on a day to day basis, managing and minimising challenging behaviour across the setting.

We are seeking a candidate with experience of working with young people or adults with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour. You will also be confident in providing functional behaviour assessments and interventions. Additional training in Restrictive Physical Intervention (RPI) training such as Team Teach is also desirable, however not essential as training can be provided.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
