Autism Specialist TA
Location: Harrow
Role: Teaching assistant specialising in Autism
Duration: Both full time and part time opportunities available. Normal working hours from 8:30 am to 3:30pm.
Pay: GBP65 – 75 per day (paid on a weekly basis)

Have you ever thought about working in schools?
Children with mental health needs thrive from having exceptional hard working staff with an in-depth and open understanding of mental health support. We are currently looking for people with knowledge of handling children who struggle with Autism. Teaching assistants will work 1:1 and in small groups delivering behaviour and education support programmes.
Ofsted has rated most of our schools as “good” or “excellent”
The schools we work for are looking for Teaching assistants or those with Autism based experience who are:
- Open in schools with young people who have been unable to learn in mainstream schools due to them struggling to regulate their emotions and/or sticking to the rigid structure of mainstream schooling.
- Dedicated and consistent as building and maintaining positive relationships is vital.
- An understanding approach to those who suffer from Autism.
- A warm and friendly approach.

Essential criteria: Youth work or school behaviour mentoring background or experience working with children/young people with Autism or in education.
Desirable criteria: Mental health awareness training, Special Needs experience, Team Teach or PBS, or ASC or ASD.
