Autism / SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are currently working on behalf of 2 schools in Leicester to recruit full time Autism learning support assistant. The schools based in LE3 are looking for someone to start asap and continue for the rest of the year. The children are both on the autism spectrum with one in year 1 and the other in year 4.
The successful candidate is someone who can be given learning objectives and take initiative and plan activities with guidance to best meet the child's needs; be calm and patient, never showing frustration towards the student.
Ideally you will:
- Have previous experience of working in a School Nursery or School Classroom setting.
- Preferably has experience of working with children who have additional needs, both physical and behavioural.
- Have good communication skills with staff, children and parents.
- Be able to work as part of a team, but also use initiative and self- direction when needed

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
