Teaching Personnel are excited to be working with an Ofsted-Outstanding Secondary School in Preston who are seeking a highly motivated and talented Assistant Principal to help lead them on their journey of sustained excellence.
The successful candidate will be a highly experienced and effective leader with a demonstrable track record of success. You will have a passion for education and a natural ability to inspire and motivate both pupils and peers. You will be committed to making a difference to the lives of young people and have a proven ability to drive high standards of achievement.
As an Assistant Principal, you will work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to support the ongoing success of the school. You will play a key role in the strategic planning and management of the school, helping to shape its future direction and development.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Providing high-quality leadership and management across the school, ensuring that all staff are supported and motivated to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.
- Leading on the development and implementation of the school's curriculum, ensuring that it meets the needs of all students and prepares them for success in the next stage of their education.
- Ensuring that the school's policies and procedures are robust and effective, and that all staff adhere to them.
- Working with colleagues to develop and implement effective systems for monitoring and evaluating the performance of the school, and taking action to address any areas of concern.
- Developing positive relationships with parents, carers and other stakeholders, and representing the school in the wider community.
The successful candidate will have:
- A proven track record of success in a leadership role, ideally within a secondary school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students alike.
- A deep understanding of the challenges facing modern schools, and a commitment to finding innovative solutions to address them.
- Strong strategic planning and management skills, with the ability to lead on the development and implementation of effective school policies and procedures.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
