ASC Support Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for ASC specialist Teaching/Support Assistants to work at a specialist setting in the Barton area. The school is commutable from North Lincolnshire, Hull and Parts of the East Riding. The school caters for learners with ASC of varying levels. The school groups its classes on ability to best serve their individual needs. The school can be quite challenging due to the nature of the students but as support assistant you will be best placed and equipped to support the individuals with their needs.

The ideal candidate will have the following to complete the ASC Support Assistant role:

  • Experience of working with individuals with ASC
  • Experience of working in a challenging environment
  • An understanding of the current curriculum
  • Experience support students 1:1
  • Previously completed a Behaviour management course (desirable)

Individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for the role providing they have ASC experience and are confident they can manage challenging behaviour.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
