If you are looking to become Learning Support Assistant in a Stockport school, that boasts excellent resources in a modern building, then this role is perfect for you. The school is situation 3 minutes away from a train station, 8 minutes from the closest bus stop and just 20 minutes away from Manchester City Centre. The role requires an immediate start until the end of this academic year.
- The job pays £350 to £400 per week and guarantees great job satisfaction.
Job criteria:
- Support teaching & learning activities with individual children/small groups in KS3&KS4.
- Work under the guidance of teaching staff to implement agreed work programmes.
- Assist the teacher in the planning cycle and the management & preparation of resources.
- Assist with the inclusion of pupils with SEN and supporting small groups or individuals within the classroom.
- Be an integral part of the school, working in close partnership with all staff.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Planning
- To work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and differentiating lessons/work plans as appropriate.
Support
- To provide feedback to students in relation to progress and achievement.
- To monitor students’ responses to learning through observation.
- To be responsible for keeping and updating records as agreed with the teacher.
Teaching and Learning
- To implement learning activities/teaching, adjusting activities according to student needs.
- To support the use of ICT in learning activities and develop students competence and independence.
- To help students to access learning activities through specialist support.
General
- To encourage students to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all students in activities.
- To be aware of, and support, difference and ensure all students have opportunities to learn and develop.
- To provide differentiated support for students in mainstream lessons; administer coursework, produce worksheets for agreed activities etc.
- To carry out any other duties as directed by the SENCO.
- To mentor identified KS3/KS4 SEN students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
