A school in the heart of Burnley have approached Teaching Personnel in order to find a strong behaviour support assistant to work for the summer term, with a view to continue from September 2017. The role will potentially be full-time due to the needs of the individual child. The child who requires the support is currently in the Year 1 class and is affecting the general behaviour within the class. He will be starting back in Year 2 next year and the Head teacher has decided that the support, especially in the morning sessions will be beneficial to the individual child, the class and the class teacher.
The Head teacher is looking for an individual who can come into school and build a strong working relationship with the child as well as the teaching staff in school. It is a necessity, if you wish to apply, that you have experience working in an education or care setting, supporting children or young adults with Autism, or associated behavioural needs. It is preferable that you have undergone professional development to support your experiences (courses such as; Autism Awareness and Team Teach) this is not a necessity as there will be opportunities to complete this with Teaching Personnel.
If you are interested in the role then I would like to hear from you- I can be contacted in the office on 01772 842155 or by email howard.taylor@teachingpersonnel.com. It would be beneficial to send through an up to date CV and a brief overview of your experiences by email.
