An SEN Specialist School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team!
The Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting a pupil with ADHD and Diabetes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a young person’s educational progress, emotional wellbeing and daily school experience! You will aid with transporting needs to and from the school every Friday!
This school is a co‑educational community special school for pupils aged 10–16, supporting learners with a wide range of Special Educational Needs including ASD, SEMH and Specific Learning Difficulties. The school also educates pupils with conditions such as ADHD, attachment difficulties, ODD and mental health needs, while offering a caring and therapeutic environment.
The school benefits from excellent specialist facilities including a sensory room, a hydrotherapy pool, and spacious outdoor learning areas, helping pupils to thrive through personalised support!
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience working with young people with ADHD needs or similar behavioural profiles
- Experience working 1:1 is a bonus, but not essential!
- A patient, resilient, warm individual with an ability to build strong, trusting relationships
- Excellent communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the holistic development of young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
