1:1 Teaching Assistant

Do you have experience working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who are harder to reach? 

Are you confident you could re-engage a pupil in education who often displays challenging behaviours? 

 

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Leyland based school which provides education and support for KS2 - 4 pupils  with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and challenging behaviours. A number of the pupils in this school display challenging behaviours and candidates must be confident in their behaviour management skills! 

The role is full time and school hours are 8.30am - 4pm Monday - Friday. The pay for this role is GBP10 - GBP10.50 per hour dependent on experience and you will have access to a number of CPD courses through ourselves and the school. 

The role is on a temp - perm basis , after 14 successful weeks in school you will be taken on to the schools contract providing both parties are happy. 

The role will require you to work on a 1:1 basis predominantly, with a KS3 pupil who has Autism, ADHD and can often display challenging behaviours and struggle to communicate effectively. 

The candidate suited to this job will be resilient, empathetic, compassionate and hard working. 

The school are seeking a long term / permanent basis so you must be looking for a long term career in education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
