1:1 Teaching Assistant (Autism)

One of our two-form entry Primary schools situated in the heart of Cardiff (CF11) are looking to appoint an additional Teaching Assistant to their team, after having received additional funding to support a Year 2 pupil who is on the Autism Spectrum.

The successful applicant will need to have previous experience working with children or young people with Special Needs, ideally (but not compulsory) in a school. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant with a caring, nurturing and patient nature, who will be able to work efficiently with the pupil and help him reach his full potential, academically and socially. Team Teach training and/or Autism Awareness would be a bonus.

Thanks to a hugely supportive senior leadership team, the successful Teaching Assistant will have access to a range of courses and trainings in order to grow their knowledge of the Special Educational Needs support sector.

Please note applicants will need to hold a DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply - full assistant provided) and must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (or be willing to apply - full assistant provided).
