1:1 Support Assistant - Camden

A school in Camden is looking for an amazing and dedicated teaching assistant to join their wonderful family as a 1:1 Support Assistant!

This post will offer you the chance to make a positive influence on the pupil's development and in turn, allow you to gain experience in a long-term role as you work within a patient but exciting environment. You will be working alongside a devoted school staff team, as well learning from SEN professionals within their own right - these might include External Psychologists, School nurses and other medical professionals. This role is focused on integration in each class; whilst working on cognitive behaviour strategies and analysing how to help children increase their attainment.

This role will be suitable for anyone who is currently looking to expand their experience with Autism. If you are looking to build your skills and experience of SEN then this will be the opportunity for you!

Shortlisting criteria include:

  • Ability to work with ASC and/or other SEN
  • Ability to use PECS, Makaton or BSL is desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to be involved with extra-curricular activities
  • Passion for helping raise pupil attainment
