Full time Learning Support Assistant position ideal for graduates and experienced LSA/TA’s that are looking for a challenging yet rewarding experience in a small, family-run all-ages independent school in the heart of Cardiff.

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a highly motivated Learning Support Assistant who feels passionate about nurturing and supporting a young pupil with autism as they navigate primary school. The job pays an hourly rate of £12.82+ per hour on a PAYE basis paid weekly with the looking to take the perfect candidate onto contract.

You will be expected to provide in-class assistance through 1:1 support to help ensure the pupil copes and manages the work to the best of their ability and the school environment. 1:1 support can be challenging at times but the right candidate will build a strong relationship with the pupil.

The successful candidate will possess key attributes such as excellent communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with the pupil who often struggles with typical means of communication. Other key attributes include high levels of organisation and patience as the pupil will struggle to organise themselves and display challenging behaviour when they cannot access classwork.
