We have a rewarding and challenging new role starting immediately or in September 2019 in recently opened primary school in Harrow working closely with primary aged pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Work closely with a highly trained team of teachers, mental health and therapeutic specialists along with parents and families, to develop personalised, dynamic support to primary aged children.

Join a new school in Harrow as a teaching assistant with a mission that every child can learn and enjoy a fulfilling school life, regardless of their social, emotional and mental health needs.

The school are looking for youth workers, social workers, support workers who are confident supporting children aged 5 to 11 with engaging learning and support programmes in classes of up to 5 pupils. The school will be holding trial days and interviews during June and July with the expected start of successful teaching assistants to be in September 2019.

  • EYFS and Primary departments (aged 5 - 11 years old)
  • Work closely with and support children with social difficulties linked to trauma, disadvantaged backgrounds and mental health diagnosis

Experience working with vulnerable children, youth work, mental health, foster care, challenging behaviour, childhood trauma, pupil referral units, mainstream primary schools, alternative learning provisions or with outreach work would be ideal due to the needs of the pupils.
