Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in South Yorkshire, including Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education staff looking to gain valuable classroom experience while enjoying flexible work.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher

  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

  • Support pupils with their learning and keep them on task

  • Work across a variety of subjects and year groups (KS3 & KS4)

  • Represent Teaching Personnel professionally within partner schools

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)

  • Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills

  • Confidence, adaptability and good communication skills

  • A genuine interest in education and supporting students

  • Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to complete safeguarding checks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
