Teaching Personnel are working closely with a large primary school in Radcliffe, Bury (M26) who are looking to appoint someone with youth work, residential work or social work experience and are looking to transition into a teaching assistant role within a primary school.

This primary school have a number of children who display challenging behaviours and are disruptive to the class environment as a result. These children display challenging behaviours due to a variety of reasons including;

• Social and emotional aspects of learning
• Attention deficit
• Social emotional mental health needs
• Looked after children backgrounds
• Single parent backgrounds
• Autism - verbal and non verbal

If you have a background in social work, residential work or youth work and are interested in working with children displaying challenging behaviours, this would be a great platform and opportunity for you.

This is a larger than average primary school in Radcliffe with a specialist 'nurture' unit. The school has a high number of pupils with special educational needs and social emotional mental health needs. The Head teacher is looking for teaching assistants to support pupils in the class room and in this specialist unit to support children so they can access the national curriculum.

The school has a strong senior leadership team which is able to support all its staff and can offer access to excellent CPD courses for personal, professional development.
