We are looking for school based support workers to work on a supply basis until the summer in a number of our loyal client schools and those who would like to interview for permanent roles in September.
This opportunity is perfect for those who have strong experience in behaviour management or have youth work background, and who have knowledge of Social, Emotional and Mental Health conditions. It's also ideal for graduates (psychology especially!) looking for an opportunity into schools and have first pick of permanent roles in the new school year!
The students at this school are in desperate need of permanent role models who can help them to focus on more positive goals and inspire them to choose a beneficial path for their future. You can expect some challenging behaviours and guarded personalities which require you to have patience, care and an honest approach towards them.
For this role you must have;
A patient personality and emotional resilience to deal with behaviour
Knowledge of or experience in social, emotional and mental health or psychology
Applicable, relevant experience (youth work, pastoral care, counselling, psychology, classroom support, health and social care)
The ability to work school hours 8.30am-3.30pm
An enhanced, CHILD ONLY DBS registered to the update service (Teaching Personnel can direct you to apply for this)
Be able to supply 2 references from your most recent employers
Working through Teaching Personnel offers many benefits such as;
Access to schools who only use Teaching Personnel to recruit staff
Advice and Support from sector specialist staff
80% off all training opportunities in our CPD Academy including Team-Teach and brand new mindfulness training
Weekly payment of the living wage, paid through PAYE
If you think this role is perfect for you, please send through your CV and a consultant will get back to you at their earliest convenience!
