Teaching Personnel are actively seeking those passionate about shaping the lives of young people in the local area. As a youth worker for Teaching Personnel you will work in our partner Schools supporting vulnerable Students or those with Special Educational Needs. In this role, no two days will be the same, and you'll need to be flexible and empathetic when working with our young people. Many of the Students you will work with will have a specific area identified for support, or a number of areas. This could include working with Students requiring support with any or all of the following: Social emotional & mental health dianoses, autism, behaviour, dyslexia, ADHD and more besides.
The role is especially suited to those pursuing a career in teaching or in youth work, as successful candidates will work in a variety of settings, supporting a variety of Students with differing needs. Teaching Personnel work with a number of Schools in the area, and Youth Workers work on one-to-one and small group interventions, as well as leading larger classes and groups as appropriate. As a Youth Worker you will gain invaluable tools, insights and experience in working with young people and in the education sector. Youth workers looking to apply for this position will need to have education or school based references, ideally previous experience of working with young people and a desire to get into the education sector.
