Are you driven to support young people who need a different path to success? Do you have the passion, resilience, and creativity to help students thrive outside of mainstream education?

We're on the lookout for a Youth Worker to join a dedicated alternative provision setting in Liverpool, working with students who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). This is your chance to empower young people facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges—helping them re-engage in learning and grow in confidence and ability.

The Role:

  • Inspire and motivate students through sports, creative activities, and mentoring.

  • Build positive, trusting relationships and be a consistent, supportive presence.

  • Create an inclusive environment where every young person feels valued and heard.

  • Support emotional and behavioural needs using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies.

  • Collaborate closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and other professionals to shape a safe, structured, and nurturing space.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, or similar supportive roles.

  • Understanding of SEMH, SEN, and the challenges facing young people in alternative education.

  • A natural communicator who builds rapport with ease and earns respect through empathy and consistency.

  • Calm under pressure, adaptable, and passionate about creating positive change.

  • Confident in managing challenging behaviour while maintaining a supportive and compassionate approach.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a passionate team focused on transforming lives through tailored education.

  • Access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

  • A genuinely rewarding role where no two days are the same—and every day counts.
