  • do you have youth work experience?
  • do you want to positively influence the lives of young people?

I am currently recruiting for a specialist school for young people with social and emotional difficulties in central Manchester. The Manchester school is seeking to recruit youth workers to help support the children within a specialist department that provides outreach support for young people unable to access the main school. The school believe youth workers have the engaging personality to help support these young people who (as a result of individual barriers) are not able to work in a classroom with other children. In this role the youth worker will be expected to travel around the local community to provide personalised support to the young people.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in youth work and will therefore have the knowledge and ability to manage challenging behaviour in a way which still produces positive outcomes. You must be able to drive to be considered for this role.

The pay rate for this role will be between £9 and £10 per hour

If you would like to apply for this role please send a copy of your CV to james.johnson@teachingpersonnel.com or contact the office on 01612421795 for more information.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
