Youth Behaviour Mentor – Inspiring Positive Change in Young Lives
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Do you have the skills to support and guide students, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential? If so, we want you to join our team as a Youth Behaviour Mentor.
About the Role:
As a Youth Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students, staff, and parents to support young people who may be struggling with their behaviour, social interactions, or emotional well-being. Your role will be vital in helping students build confidence, resilience, and positive attitudes towards learning and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and group mentoring sessions to support students' behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to create strategies that promote positive behaviour.
- Act as a role model, helping students develop self-discipline, confidence, and motivation.
- Support students in managing conflicts and emotions in a constructive way.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best support for each student.
- Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive school environment.
What We’re Looking For
- A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach.
- Experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or mentoring setting.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant qualifications in youth work, counselling, psychology, or education (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
