Year 6 Teaching Assistant - SAT's Support

Job description

A primary school in Northampton are seeking to recruit a teaching assistant to join their team to support the school in raising attainment for KS2 SATs.

It is essential to have KS2 experience, ideally in year 6.

The successful candidate will be joining a year 6 class with the majority of pupils having very low learning levels. Your role will be to provide 1:1 and small group support.

This is a challenging class due to having a high percentage of SEN pupils and challenging behaviour. You will need to manage this as well as striving to achieve high results at the same time.

You will be well supported by the school's senior leadership team and the class teacher.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
