EYFS Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools | Barnsley & Sheffield
Are you a caring, energetic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for Early Years? We are recruiting EYFS Teaching Assistants to support welcoming primary schools across Barnsley and Sheffield.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape young children’s first experiences of education in a nurturing and engaging environment.
The Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
- Assist with phonics, early maths, reading, and creative activities.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support where required.
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working within EYFS or early years settings.
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
- A warm, patient, and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
