Year 6 Teaching Assistant required for Manchester school

Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who can assist with supporting pupils to ensure progression.

The successful candidate will work closely with the teacher in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of the curriculum for pupils. They will also be required to assist with both English and Maths intervention, so experience and confidence in both is essential.

Our client is a three form primary school and is a busy, friendly and popular school with a warm and welcoming ethos which is recognised by all who visit. In OFSTED’s most recent visit the school was awarded outstanding. With key positives pointing towards pupils’ academic performance and attendance.

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a variety of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, such as National Association of SEN, National Autistic Society, Rush Miskin, Team Teach, Educare, Creative Education, St Patrick’s RC High School and Leeds Trinity University. These partners deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities to you, covering areas such as; Accredited Team Teach, Understanding and Supporting Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, An Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disability, Effective Adult Learning Support, Implications for Challenging Behaviour, Meeting the Emotional, Social and Mental Health Needs of Children and Young People, Differentiation, Data Handling, Assessment for Learning, Planning for Progression, Prevent Duty, Read Write Inc. and Child Protection in Education.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
