YEAR 6 SATS BOOSTER TEACHER NEEDED IN ACCRINGTON

A Primary School in Accrington are looking to employ an skilled, Fully Qualified Teacher or Newly Qualified Teacher to work part time in their 'Polite and eager' Year 6 class. The role is to deliver high quality booster sessions in order to prepare the pupils for their SATS which will commence in the Summer 2 Term. The position will be working in the mornings Monday to Friday. The Practitioner will be delivering Interventions predominantly focused on; English, Maths and SPAG. The successful candidate must have excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum.

The Head Teacher has noted she wants a lively applicant who can provide interventions in a bright and appealing way, in order to hook the children in and encourage them to enjoy learning. She has also stressed that the Teacher must have past experience with Year 6 SATS and has excellent behaviour management.

The school is in an easily accessible location with the majority of pupils being white British. The behaviour of the pupils within school is said to be 'good', however, there is a mixed catchment of children so the school does cater a large variety of Pupil Premium Children. The ability of the pupils is very mixed, with children across all Key Stages hitting 'Exceeding, Secured and Emerging' the National Average.

The salary is based on a 4 hour day, Monday to Friday mornings, and depending on experience, this could vary between £50-£75 per half day.
