The Head of one of Teaching Personnel's partner schools in Grimsby is seeking a talented Key Stage 2 Specialist Teacher for a full time role in a year 5 class of 29 pupils for the full spring and summer terms to cover.

The School:

Behaviour is generally good and pupils enjoy attending school. Staff feel valued and supported and provide a welcoming working enviroment. 

The role: 

You will hold full class responsibility. You will motivate children and imaginatively use resources to help them learn. You'll provide a safe and secure environment for them to develop their social and communication skills, while recording and reporting their achievements.

Responsibilities

  • teaching all areas of the primary curriculum
  • taking responsibility for the progress of a all pupils
  • organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
  • planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class
  • motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • maintaining discipline
  • preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development
  • meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
  • providing feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress at parents' evenings and other meetings
  • coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • working with others to plan and coordinate work
  • keeping up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • organising and taking part in school events, outings and activities

Salary:

The rate of pay will depend on experience, but will range between GBP118 and GBP148 per day. Term time only.

Working hours

Full time hours  (Minimum 8.30am – 3.30pm)

Extra hours may be required for staff meetings, inspections and parent consultations.

Part time / job share may be considered for the right candidate

The right candidate:

All applicants must hold UK QTS to be considered for this role. Applications from Teachers with all levels of experience, including Newly Qualified Teachers are encouraged.

Experience and understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
