Altrincham
Start Date: September
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Altrincham to recruit a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.

The successful candidate will inspire and motivate pupils as they progress through Upper Key Stage 2, fostering a love of learning and supporting both their academic and personal development.

The Role

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress to support attainment and development
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners within the classroom
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and pupil wellbeing
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support school improvement
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and members of the wider school community
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Has strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Is passionate about delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences
  • Can motivate and inspire pupils of varying abilities
  • Possesses strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant KS2 placement experience are warmly encouraged to apply.
