The main duties of the role would be supporting the Year 4 class Teacher to deliver the Maths & English in the morning & then support lower attaining pupils in the afternoon, delivering focused Intervention sessions around Maths, Science & English. The Headteacher is looking to interview as soon as possible and is open to applications for level two & three's.
The incoming Year 4 Teaching Assistant will enjoy the benefits of working in a 1 form entry, 'Good' performing Primary School in Bacup. When the pupils join the school in the EYFS stage, the levels fall typical for their age, however when they leave in Year 6 results are generally significantly above average.
The behaviour in school is Good and the pupils are polite, well mannered and welcoming, exclusions are unheard of. Staff enjoy coming into school because behaviour is exemplary and attendance is good, in addition the support from senior leaders is constant and evident. The school was described by one parent as an 'asset to its community' and it has successful working relationships with numerous local groups and organisations.
