A vibrant Catholic Primary School built upon the solid foundation of Christian values which serves families living and worshipping in Knaresborough are currently looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant within Key Stage 1 .
The children at this school find themselves in a busy and enthusiastic learning environment where there is always much to do, see and learn.
The school are looking for someone with experience of working with or caring for children with SEN of relevant age within an education setting to support an individual pupil with special needs so that they can access the school curriculum.
As well as supporting the pupil to understand instructions and developing their academic skills you will also be required to prepare and maintain equipment/resources as directed by the teacher and assist pupils in their use.
Previous experience of working within an educational setting is essential as well as having Special Needs experience; the post may require you to provide personal care.

Teaching Personnel are also working in partnership with a number of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers such as the National Association of SEN and Leeds Trinity University to deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities, covering areas such as; assessment for learning, planning for progression, effective behaviour management, teaching for learning, literacy and numeracy in the curriculum, using data, SEND, effective adult learning support, supporting pupils with BESD, Team Teach, Moving & Handling, Safeguarding and the Ethos in Catholic Schools.
