Year 2 Teacher Needed Urgently for January Position

Teaching Personnel have a long-standing, partnership agreement with a school in the NG8 area that has been accredited as 'Good' in a recent Ofsted report, who are currently searching for a Year 2 teacher to join the school on a long term basis in January, full-time. Achievement and attainment are good across the school, although they are hoping to achieve 'Outstanding' moving forward.

The position is to cover a maternity leave with the school looking to book you through Teaching Personnel for a temporary period of time before moving on to contract with the school.

A note from the Executive Head states, 'We are looking for creative and enthusiastic teacher to join our team here. We need professionals who are committed to providing a creative curriculum which supports all children to learn effectively. Everyone who visits us comments on the calm atmosphere, the enthusiasm our children have for learning and the great sense of team amongst staff and children alike. This is a 'Good' school that values every individual and puts our children at the heart of everything we do.'

The Year 2 class in the school is of particular importance, as this year group is pivotal between the KS1 and KS2 curriculum in the school. You will also have to create an engaging array of lessons to encourage the parents that these lessons are not worth missing to maintain the high expectations held for attendance.

To be considered for the role, you must:

  • Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experienced Teacher - previously worked in Year 2
  • Be able to provide 2 relevant references

It would be beneficial for you to go the school for a tour to ensure that this is the school for you , before going in for an interview with the school. You will be required to complete an interview and teach one lesson in the school which will be observed, the application deadline is 15th January and the interview deadline is 21st January. As well as registering with Teaching Personnel, you will be required to complete a job application.
