Are you based in Preston? Looking for a teaching role for September?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an average sized Primary school in Preston, the school are a close knit community made up of a strong team or supportive staff. They are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Year 2 teacher to start in the upcoming academic year to cover maternity leave until Christmas at least. The successful applicant will be required to plan, teach and assess KS1 National Curriculum to a Year 2 Class and participate in all aspects of school life. The Head of School has commented that she would like a Primary practitioner who can work collectively with the children, their parents and the staff in school to ensure they receive the best opportunity to excel academically and socially.

The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium is much higher than that found nationally. Behaviour was graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, pupils enjoy school and are described as ‘polite and friendly’; attendance is also described as Good. The proportion of pupils from minority ethnic groups is higher than the national average as is the proportion of those who speak English as an additional language.

Are you dedicated, hard working and eager to work with children in a school setting? Have you had experience planning, delivering and assessing the KS1 National Curriculum within Year 2? If YES is the answer to the above questions then this position within a Preston Primary School will be ideal.
