Behaviour Support Assistant required for a challenging Year 1 cohort who are working below age related expectations
'Good' Primary School based in Birkenhead, Wirral
The role is as General Teaching Assistant supporting a Year 1 cohort with some behavioural issues. TAs who are interested need to be able to manage verbal and physical aggression.
Classroom based experience is required (must have effective behaviour management)
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a larger than average size 'Good' Primary School and the Headteacher is seeking additional support for Year 1 pupils
The Headteacher is ideally seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to support the class teacher who is SLT. The incoming Teaching Assistant will enjoy the benefits of working in a 2 form entry, 'Good' popular Primary School in the Wirral area, it is easily accessible by public transport.
When the pupils join the school in the EYFS stage the levels are usually well below what is typical for their age, however when they leave in Year 6 results are generally significantly above average.
The behaviour in school can be challenging, although most pupils are polite, well mannered and welcoming.
