Functional Skills Tutor – NE44, Northumberland

We're looking for a passionate Functional Skills Tutor to support learners in the NE44, Northumberland area. If you enjoy helping students develop essential English and Maths skills in a supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you.

NE44, Northumberland

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • School hours

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Functional Skills English and Maths sessions.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group tuition tailored to individual needs.
  • Support learners in developing confidence and practical skills.
  • Track progress and adapt lessons to maximise achievement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

✅ We're Looking For

  • Experience delivering Functional Skills or supporting learners in English and Maths.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
