1:1 Tutor – NE38, Northumberland

Location: NE38, Northumberland
Position: 1:1 Tutor
Hours: Flexible (Part-Time)
Pay: Competitive rates, dependent on experience and qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Tutor to support a student in the NE38 area of Northumberland. This rewarding role involves delivering tailored educational support to help the learner achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their studies.

The successful candidate will provide engaging, personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of the student, adapting teaching strategies and resources as required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality one-to-one tuition sessions.
  • Plan and prepare lessons tailored to the student's needs and abilities.
  • Monitor and record progress, providing regular feedback.
  • Build a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
  • Support the student's academic development and confidence.

Requirements

  • Experience tutoring or teaching children and young people.
  • Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum and subject areas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience supporting students with additional learning needs or SEND.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
