Job description

English Secondary Tutor – NE42

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Secondary Tutor to support students in the NE42 area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to provide tailored tuition to secondary-aged learners, helping them improve their English skills, build confidence, and achieve academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging English tuition sessions to secondary students
  • Support learners with literacy, comprehension, spelling, grammar, and essay writing
  • Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities
  • Prepare students for coursework and examinations where required
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Secondary English curriculum
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students
  • Teaching, tutoring, or classroom support experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
