This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you’ll work closely with teaching staff to support pupils with a range of academic, social, and behavioural needs. You’ll play an important role in helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can build confidence, stay engaged, and achieve their potential.

No two days are the same, so we’re looking for people who can think on their feet, remain calm under pressure, and approach each challenge with a proactive attitude.

The Role

As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide support both inside and outside the classroom, helping pupils stay focused, motivated, and supported throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with a variety of learning and behavioural needs
  • Assisting with core subjects, including literacy and numeracy
  • Encouraging positive behaviour through consistency and clear expectations
  • Helping maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and wider staff to support pupil progress

What We’re Looking For

While experience in education, care, sports coaching, or youth work is beneficial, it’s not essential. We’re more interested in your attitude, resilience, and ability to form strong relationships.

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Calm, confident, and dependable
  • Resilient and comfortable handling challenging situations
  • Strong communicators with a proactive mindset
  • Flexible and open to working in different school settings
  • Passionate about helping young people reach their full potential

What You’ll Get in Return

  • Ongoing CPD training and professional development opportunities
  • Access to a Guaranteed Work Scheme (for eligible applicants), offering pay even when work isn’t available
  • Competitive weekly pay, with enhanced rates for travel and longer hours
  • Simple and efficient online systems for managing bookings and timesheets
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant

Essential Requirement

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required, as travel between schools may be needed, sometimes at short notice.
