The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Support pupils with varying learning abilities and needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who:
- Have experience working with children or young people
- Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Are passionate about supporting children's learning and development
- Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills
- Can work effectively as part of a school team
- Are looking to gain experience across a variety of educational settings
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Have experience supporting children or young people in an educational, childcare, coaching, care, or similar setting
- Be reliable, professional, and enthusiastic
- Have a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport, as travel to schools across Great Yarmouth and the surrounding areas may be required
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
