A welcoming and ambitious primary school in Gorton is seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a Year 1 classroom. Working alongside experienced educators, you'll help pupils build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their full potential during this important stage of their education.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum
• Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
• Encourage positive behaviour and active participation
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
• Contribute to the wider life of the school community

We're looking for graduates who are:

• Educated to degree level (any subject considered)
• Passionate about working with children and young people
• Interested in pursuing a career in teaching or education
• Experienced in supporting children through schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, volunteering, or similar settings
• Confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills
• Proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic team players
• Willing to complete safeguarding checks and training
