Year 1 Teacher - Oldham (OL8)- September

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a 'Good' Primary school in Oldham to appoint a teacher to work in the Key Stage 1 depart meant with a lovely year 1 class. This is a full time, long term basis teaching role and will include planning and marking. It is to start immediately and for the right teacher, will continue for the rest of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of the school's innovative staff team.

This Primary school has been in the top 5% of schools, for the 3rd year running, for making good progress in math's and writing. They are also in the top 10% of schools for the progress of students' reading skills. The behaviour of the students is good and they are known for their friendly and inclusive attitudes, as well as their passion for learning. The school has a real family ethos and students make great progress due to the high quality of teaching throughout the school. Praise is used throughout the school to motivate all of the students.

The attainment of the students throughout both key stages is constantly improving and the school is looking to appoint a year 1 teacher who can bring positivity and enthusiasm. They want a teacher who is eager to raise attainment level for all of their students. Phonics is taught really well throughout Key Stage 1, and experience with 'Letters and Sounds' would be an advantage, although not essential.
