Year 1 Teacher

Year 1 Supply Teacher required in a medium sized primary school in Darwen, Lancashire.

• QTS is a necessity
• Experience working in a KS1 class is preferable
• A hard working and committed practitioner

A two form entry primary school in Darwen require a Year 1 Supply Teacher to cover a long term sickness starting on the 10th October. As this is covering a sickness, the length of the assignment is not known, so some flexibility is needed. This is a temporary position the school are looking for someone who fully engages with all aspects of school life.

The ethos of the school is one of family and belonging, where children have access to high quality provision, dedicated teachers and support staff who assist in raising standards and driving school improvement. Children are provided with learning experiences which makes them ready for their next stages in learning. Children are encouraged to be independent, such as choosing their own level of work, whilst still understanding the need for collaboration and teamwork. Teachers are supported through the two form entry system by other teachers in the same year group and key stage. Teachers are also supported in class by teaching assistants and HLTAs.
