Teacher Needed for Reception and Year 1 Classes at Ofsted-Graded Good Primary School

Location: Cambridge (CB4)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to teach Reception and Year 1 classes? We are thrilled to announce a full-time permanent position at a highly regarded Ofsted-graded Good Primary School in Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons for Reception and Year 1 students.
  • Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity, exploration, and independence.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and support their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative and inclusive school community.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to plan and implement cross-curricular activities and events.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to support continuous improvement and achievement.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and stay abreast of current educational trends and best practices.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Passion for working with young children and supporting their early learning and development.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience teaching in Reception or Year 1 classes.
  • Familiarity with phonics and early literacy instruction.
  • Ability to integrate play-based learning and hands-on activities into the curriculum.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and strategies for tracking student progress in the early years.
  • Creativity and innovation in designing engaging and interactive lessons and activities.
