Year 1 Teacher – Maternity Cover | Horwich

Horwich | ️ October Half Term – End of Academic Year

Are you an experienced KS1 teacher looking for a rewarding role in a small, friendly and nurturing school?

We are looking for a passionate Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming school in Horwich on a maternity cover basis, starting from October half term through to the end of the academic year.

‍ The Role

  • Year 1 teaching role
  • Maternity cover from October half term to the end of the academic year
  • Experience teaching in KS1 is essential
  • ECTs and fully qualified teachers are welcome to apply
  • Supportive, friendly and nurturing school environment
  • Small school with a strong sense of community
  • High expectations for behaviour, learning and pupil progress

Pay

  • ECT: from £120 per day
  • Fully Qualified Teacher: from £140 per day
  • AWR will be addressed after 12 working weeks, where applicable

The Ideal Teacher

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced and confident teaching KS1, particularly Year 1
  • Passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences
  • Able to set and maintain high expectations
  • Warm, nurturing and committed to building positive relationships with pupils
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic and keen to become part of a small school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
