Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Altrincham to recruit a passionate Year 2 Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026.

The Role

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire young learners and support them through this important stage of their primary education.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress to ensure positive outcomes
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
• Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Working collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team
• Contributing to the wider life of the school

About You

The ideal candidate will:

✔ Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

✔ Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2

✔ Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills

✔ Have excellent curriculum knowledge and planning skills

✔ Be passionate about helping every child reach their full potential

✔ Be a positive and proactive team player
