Full-Time Year 6 Teaching Assistant – CF3 Area

We’re looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and nurturing Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the CF3 area.

The Role:

You’ll be supporting a lively and engaging Year 6 class — working alongside the class teacher to inspire, motivate, and prepare pupils for their step up to Year 7.
Your day-to-day role will include:

• Providing general classroom support across lessons and activities.

• Working with small groups and individual pupils to boost confidence and understanding in key areas such as English and Maths.

• Helping pupils develop organisation and study skills as they prepare for secondary school.

• Encouraging positive behaviour and acting as a role model for maturity, respect, and enthusiasm.

• Supporting with creative projects, class discussions, and fun, engaging learning experiences that keep children motivated right through to the end of Year 6.

• Assisting the class teacher in planning, preparation, and assessment when required.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who’s:

• Friendly, approachable, and passionate about working with young people.

• Confident in building strong relationships and encouraging positive attitudes to learning.

• Proactive and adaptable, with good communication and teamwork skills.

• Able to support children both academically and emotionally as they transition to secondary school.

• Ideally experienced in a Key Stage 2 setting (though training and support will be provided).
