Teaching Personnel are looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools in Cardiff!

Teaching Assistants are essential in Primary Schools to ensure the day runs smoothly and the children are supported to ensure they reach their full potential in the classroom. Some children in the class may have additional learning needs, therefore the ideal Teaching Assistant must be able to adapt and develop a working relationship with the children to identify effective ways to provide support for their individual needs. Good communication skills are essential, and the ability to complete intervention work with small groups of children to help with literacy and numeracy skills.

The school is looking for an energetic Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team, bringing new ideas and a positive attitude to the class. The school will provide continuous support and feedback, with the possibility of roles extending for the whole academic year.

Ideal Candidate:

• Ability to create positive relationships with the children, staff and parents at the school
• Confident providing 1:1 support to children with additional learning needs
• Good communication skills with a calm and nurturing nature
• On hand to support the teacher with general classroom support

What you will need:

• Enhanced DBS (Child Only) checks must be completed before the role will commence.
• Registered to the Education Workforce Council (mandatory requirement in Wales).
• Experience personally or in a working environment with children (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
