Job Opportunity: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Cardiff (CF11) 

Hours: Full-Time

Pay: £89.38 per day

Are you a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant with a passion for supporting children on a 1:1 basis? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Foundation Phase class in Cardiff.

This role involves supporting a child with social, emotional, and physical needs, as well as providing general assistance to the wider class. We’re looking for a caring, reliable individual with strong communication and behaviour management skills who thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs.

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

• Help create a positive and nurturing classroom environment.

• Support other pupils as needed, contributing to overall class progress.

Ideal Candidate Profile: Previous experience supporting children with additional needs (or in a similar setting)

Confident in managing behaviour in a calm and constructive manner
Nurturing, patient, and passionate about helping children succeed

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A collaborative approach to working as part of a school team

Essential Requirements:

• Enhanced Child-Only DBS Certificate (Support available through Teaching Personnel)

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (mandatory for roles in Wales)

• Ability to provide professional, school-based references
