Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit a reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in the centre of Cardiff. The position will be full-time, working between the Early Years and Reception class. The ideal candidate will be confident working with children with varied needs and abilities, to ensure each child has the same opportunity to develop. General classroom support will be required, along with supporting small groups of children to assist with the learning and following the school’s curriculum.

About the role:

Location – Cardiff

Pay - £89.38 

Start Date – After October half-term (Pending Vetting Requirements)

Hours – 8:30-3:30 (Mon-Fri)

Main duties required:

• On hand to always support the teacher and general support in the classroom.
• Supporting children with their learning needs and working on a 1 to 1 basis if required.
• Being confident when in charge of a small group of children, or on an individual basis.

About the school:

The school is looking for an energetic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team with a positive attitude. Due to the diverse nature of the school, there may be pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL).  The school will provide continuous support and feedback for the successful candidate, with the possibility to extend for the full academic year.

• Enhanced DBS (Child Only) checks must be completed before the role will commence – (Teaching Personnel can help you with this!)
• EWC registration required which is mandatory requirement in Wales.
• Experience personally or in a working environment with children (desirable).
