About the role:

Location - Cardiff

Pay - £89.38 per day

Hours – 8:30am -3:30pm (Monday to Friday)

Start Date – March 2026 to July 2026 (Possibly Extending into the new academic year in September 2026)

Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a hardworking and proactive Teaching Assistant who is looking for full-time work in the Cardiff area. The position will be working with Primary Schools, with the opportunity to work across a range of age groups. The ideal candidate will be reliable and have the ability to create strong relationships with the children and staff to maintain a positive learning environment. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working within Primary Schools and being a part of a supportive team of staff who are always eager to provide honest feedback to improve your professional development. There is also potential for roles to made permanent or extend into the new academic year starting in September 2026.

Classroom Duties:

  • Supporting the children on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
  • Provide support to the teacher with general classroom duties and behaviour management
  • Ensuring the classroom is prepared and ready for each lesson
  • Assist with developing the children’s progression and providing a positive learning environment
  • Ability to recognise individual needs of the children and provide extra support if needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
