About the Role:

Location – Cardiff (CF24)

Pay - £89.38 per day

Hours – Full time (8:30am – 3:30pm)

Start Date – February 2026

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit a reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in the centre of Cardiff. The position will be full-time, starting in February 2026, with the possibility to be extended for the full academic year ending in July 2026. The ideal candidate will be confident working with children who require additional support with their learning,  and be able to provide general classroom support whilst helping the teacher the resources for the day and engaging with the class. Good communication skills will be required, with the ability to lead  interventions involving small groups of children, to assist with learning that follows the school’s curriculum. Some children in the class may need 1:1, therefore the ability to adapt in the classroom and provide support to suit the child’s individual needs will be required.

Main Duties:

• Providing general classroom support for the teacher and supporting all class children.
• Working on a 1:1 basis and supporting individual needs of the children.
• Being confident completing intervention work on an individual basis or within small groups.
• Ability to build professional relationships with children, staff, and parents in the school.

About the School:

The school is based in the centre of Cardiff and is a two-form entry. The school is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team who will bring a positive attitude to the class. You will receive continuous support and feedback, and the ideal candidate will need be enthusiastic and reliable, whilst wanting to provide a positive and safe learning environment for the children.
