The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting teachers and pupils in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small group support with pupils who have additional learning needs.
• Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Helping prepare learning materials and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting inclusion for all learners.
• Monitoring pupil progress and sharing feedback with teachers and parents.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff and school teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting SEN pupils on a 1:1 or group basis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, supportive, and adaptable approach.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant childcare or education qualifications (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
