Hours – Full Time

Pay - £89.38 per day

Start Date - March 2026

Are you an experienced teaching assistant looking for a rewarding role working with children on a 1:1 basis? Teaching Personnel would love to hear from you!

Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a full-time teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis, supporting a child with social, emotional and physical needs, whilst also being on hand to support the rest of the class. The role will be working in a class in Foundation Phase, and the ideal candidate will be nurturing and caring, with strong behaviour management. Excellent communication will be essential, with a passion for supporting the children and the teacher in the class to maintain a positive school environment. As a teaching assistant, you will play a key part in helping educate children and developing supportive relationships with the children, staff and parents in the school.

Ideal Candidate:  

• Experience supporting children with additional needs or similar experience
• Confident with behaviour management
• Nurturing and caring nature with a passion for supporting children
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team environment

Requirement Criteria:

• Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (Teaching Personnel can help with this!)
• Registered to the Education Workforce Council (mandatory requirement in Wales)
• Provide professional based references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
