Year 3 Class Teacher

An exciting teaching opportunity is being advertised directly through Teaching Personnel on behalf of a client school located in Preston. The role will be to take a full-time teaching position working with a group of 28 Year 3 children with a 60/40 split boys to girls. The role will see the successful candidate plan and deliver high quality lesson content as well as building strong working relationships with the children in class as well as the other staff in school. The role will be to start from September and continue on a temporary supply basis for the rest of the 20/21 academic year. The school are then keen to appoint permanently for the following academic year.

The Head teacher has specified the following…

‘We are a large school with children who arrive from a range of social backgrounds. We expect our teaching staff to work hard and ensure all the children in their care are safe and stimulated in their own learning experience. We will take a candidate through a supply contract initially to ensure we find the right person who fits in to the school. My SLT are very supportive and ensure all new staff are given the relevant inductions, on-going training as well as feedback. Standards for Reading, Writing and Maths are very high in school and so we are looking for a teacher who can comfortably move children from Infants to Juniors and also ensure they are well behaved in and out of the classroom. We are looking for a teacher to be a positive role model; someone who gets to know the children and goes above and beyond to ensure all the children are making the expected age related progress.’

The school are seeking an individual to meet the following criteria;

-QTS (Qualified Teachers Status)

-Recent and relevant experience working in LKS2, specifically in Year 3

-Relationship builder and team player

-Newly and Fully Inducted Teachers

-DBS on the Update Service

-Relevant and recent references to support application

-Strong classroom presence and behaviour management techniques

To reiterate, this is a full-time teaching position to work with a group of Year 3 children from September 2020- July 2021. This is a GOOD school graded by Ofsted, located in Preston. You must be available in the meantime to meet with the agency and potentially the Head teacher of this school through a conference call platform. When the schools return, you will be expected to undertake a short lesson observation with the Head teacher. If successful, you will accept the role and work through Teaching Personnel, full vetting and payroll will be completed by the agency.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later
