Welsh Classroom Assistant - Blaenau Gwent

A position has arisen for a Welsh speaking Nursery Classroom Assistant for a Welsh school in the Blaenau Gwent area. The position is due to begin after half term for the right candidate. The school is ideally looking for a candidate who is experienced working with a challenging class in a Nursery setting and is available for 5 days a week. Trials will be held prior to the position.

You will be expected to:

-Support pupils with learning difficulties or disabilities

-Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils

-Prepare the classroom for lessons

-Tidy up and keeping the classroom in good order

-Create displays of pupils' work

-Help on school outings or at school events

Applicants must :

- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Hold a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one - full assistance provided)
- Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) - please note that if you are living in England, you can still register with the EWC which will give you the opportunity to work on both sides of the border
- Provide at least two professional or character references

- Have a minimum of CACHE level 1 is expected.
- Be available to interview and/or trial ASAP
- Be available to start on short notice
